Shlach L’kha “Send on your behalf” Pt 4; Numbers 14:26-15:7
God (Yahveh) disciplines His people, but reaffirms His promise. The children of Israel were disciplined: those counted in the census, who would have conquered the Land but rejected it out of fear, would not enter, but their children would.
And Yahveh affirms this in 15:1, “When you have come into the Land….” For Noah, it rained 40 days to wipe out the giants; the spies spent 40 days seeing the giants; the people would wander for 40 years to lose their fear of the giants by faith in Yahveh.
Let us, by the Spirit, be bold and not fearful, so that we ourselves may enter His rest. By Yeshua, by His love, grace, power, and provision, our wandering is over.
