Pinchas “Phinehas” Pt 3: Numbers (B’Midbar) 26:52-27:5

God (Yahveh) makes rules to distribute the Land. The tribes and families within the tribes are given land by lot, based on the number of people. So, when they entered the land, it was divided up evenly, without regard to the status or merit of the person. The Levites had no inheritance, for their inheritance was the tithe since they served Yahveh in place of the firstborn. And then, if a man had only daughters, the land would go to them so that the man would still have a remembrance in Israel.
In this, Yahveh declares that each of us are created of equal value in His sight; each of us has our gifts and limitations, but each is precious and deserving of an inheritance. We who are joined to the olive tree of Israel have an inheritance in the Kingdom.
We are all valuable, all precious, and we should treat each other as such, seeking to help each find that special gift the Creator placed in them rather than seeking special place or status. The love of the Father for all of His children is fundamental to life in the Kingdom.
