In the final part of “Kedoshim”, Yahveh repeats the call to be holy. So, what makes us holy? While Yahveh reiterates the rules of clean foods, in the Prophets, His real complaints are following false gods (rejecting Him), injustice, lack of love, greed … indeed, Yeshua condemns the Pharisees for the same things. Yahveh is unique; no other would send His own son to die for His creations Who betrayed Him. He did it to bring us back as His children. So, being holy is being set apart WITH Yahveh, as His children, exhibiting the same love as He had to each other. Then, as obedient children, we obey Him by following His regulations. But, unless we draw near to Him and conform to His image, just as Yeshua showed us, in our hearts and attitudes and love, our outward observance is “like filthy rags”.See Less
