B’har Pt 7: Lev. 25:47-26:2
Good news: Yahveh is Lord over even the foreigner who does not follow Him. One who is the “slave” to such a one can be redeemed, and the community is to make sure they are treated well, for when we become part of Yah’s Kingdom, He is our Lord above all others.
We have the promise, that even in hurt, in oppression, in bondage, we belong to Him first and He will keep us, protect us, and in the end free us. In turn, we are to keep His Shabbat and revere His sanctuary; in practical terms, rest in Him and keep hope and faith in His power and presence among us.
He is Lord, He loves us, He has redeemed us, He gives us rest and deliverance.
