B’Har Pt 6, Lev. 25:39-46
We are not to treat each other harshly, especially when we have the advantage. One who is poor, or vulnerable, or hurting, is in a hard place. They are to be treated with respect – as “employee”, not “slave”.
This is out of respect to Yahveh, because we are all equally His servants. He gives His love and His Spirit to all who choose Him. As Philemon was told to receive his runaway slave who became a brother believer with respect, let us hear each other, encourage each other, counsel each other, and enable each other, so that we can each do as the Spirit directs, rather than judging and limiting each other according to our own wills.
We are fellow servants of Yahveh together.
