Treat Your Neighbor Fairly

B’har (On the mountain) Pt 2, Lev. 25:14-18 (leap year)
We are to be fair in buying and selling with our neighbor. “Caveat emptor” is wise in buying, but in selling, we are to give good value. Why? Because we are to love our neighbors as ourselves. If we do so, we “will live securely in the land.” Yahveh, not cunning, is our source of security, and He is loving and just. We are made in His image, and so we should be also. Torah is about becoming like Yahveh, made in His image, being holy as He is holy.
