B’midbar (In the Wilderness) Pt 2: Numbers/B’midbar 1:20 – 54
All the men of military age were counted, except the Levites, who were already dedicated to serving Yahveh. And, the Levites were to camp around the sanctuary, then the people around them.
We need both a dedicated connection to Yahveh, and the resources to reach out and deal with the world which, while broken, He created, rules, and seeks to redeem. Do not get them mixed up, but do not neglect either
“Seek FIRST the Kingdom of Yah and His righteousness (right path/relationship), AND all these things (fixing the world) will be added to you as well.” (Matthew 6:33)
